Ballet

Ballet is one of the few activities that can boast multiple health benefits all in one.  The core principles of ballet focus on balance, coordination, strength, and poise.  Every exercise and step builds on these, creating a strong and capable dancer.
Ballet students learn to appreciate the time it takes to master a skill.  Not everything has to be instant gratification, and that is a valuable lesson in today’s world.

Tap Dancing

Tap dancing is beneficial in many ways. Benefits of tap dance include increasing cardiovascular conditioning, strength, flexibility, and coordination. Tap dance combinations build strength in the legs and feet in addition to increasing flexibility in the hips, knees and ankles. Oh, and nothing feels or sounds better than when the group are tapping out '42nd Street' in unison!

Modern Dance offers dancers a chance to explore their creativity through movement. It also builds a lot of strength! From floor work, to jumps, to partnering and improvisation, a Modern Dancer uses his/her entire body and must learn to go from one level to another quickly and seamlessly

Students who study contemporary dance develop physical skills and training habits that can help them maintain better health throughout their lives. They also gain poise, confidence, emotional stability, and creative thinking skills that will help them throughout their academic and professional careers.
